Terms and Conditions - Sankeerthanaa School of Music

1. Registration and Payment

  • Registration Confirmation: Enrollment in our regular courses is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. A confirmation email will be sent with course details.

  • Payment Methods: We accept payments via bank transfer, digital wallets, and UPI. All payments must be completed in the specified currency at the time of registration.

  • Pricing: All prices are listed in Rupees (INR) and are subject to change without prior notice. Any applicable taxes or fees will be included in the final payment amount.

  • Advance Payment: Students are always charged for their course cycle in advance.

2. Refund Policy for Course Cancellation

  • Student Cancellations Before Course Commencement:

    • Full Refund: Cancellations made 7 days or more before the course start date are eligible for a full refund.

    • Partial Refund: Cancellations made 3 days before the course start date will receive a 50% refund.

    • No Refund: Cancellations made less than 3 days before the start date or after the first class has commenced are not eligible for a refund.

  • Student-Initiated Cancellations (After Course Commencement):

    • Before Completing 50% of the Classes in a Cycle: Students who discontinue after attending less than half of the total classes in their cycle (e.g., 3 out of 8 classes) are eligible for a 50% refund on the remaining classes.

    • After Completing 50% of the Classes in a Cycle: No refund will be provided if a student has completed more than half of the scheduled classes (e.g., 5 or more out of 8).

  • Course Transfer Option:

    • Instead of a refund, students may opt to transfer the remaining classes to another course (if available) within the same fee structure.

  • Refund Processing:

    • Refund requests must be made in writing via email to admin@sankeerthanaa.com.

    • Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days via the original payment method.

3. Attendance and Uninformed No-Show Policy

  • Notification Requirement: Students (or parents, if applicable) must inform the school at least 1-2 hours before class if they are unable to attend.

  • Exemptions: Absences due to medical emergencies or unforeseen circumstances will be considered, and no fee will be charged in such cases.

  • Charges: After one warning, an unattended class without prior notice or a valid reason will result in the loss of that session, with no rescheduling or refund.

  • Purpose: This policy ensures accountability, respect for the instructor’s time, and a consistent learning experience for all students.

4. Student Conduct

  • Code of Conduct: Students must maintain respectful behavior toward trainers and fellow students. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the course without a refund.

  • Recording Policy: Students are not allowed to record any class without prior written consent from Sankeerthanaa School of Music and the instructor.

  • Privacy and Data Protection: Personal information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

5. Liability and Disclaimer

  • Technical Issues: Sankeerthanaa School of Music is not responsible for technical difficulties experienced by students during online classes, including internet connectivity issues, software problems, or hardware failures.

  • Disclaimer: Courses are for educational purposes only. The school does not guarantee specific results or outcomes from any course.

6. Course Content and Schedule

  • Content Availability: The curriculum, course content, and schedule may be modified at the discretion of Sankeerthanaa School of Music. Any significant changes will be communicated in advance.

  • Access to Materials: Course curriculum and materials, including recordings, and additional resources, will be provided by the trainers and the school as per the course structure and are strictly for personal use.

  • Intellectual Property: All course materials are the intellectual property of Sankeerthanaa School of Music and may not be distributed, reproduced, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

7. Force Majeure

  • Unforeseen Circumstances: Sankeerthanaa School of Music is not responsible for delays, interruptions, or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other emergencies.

8. Governing Law

  • Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India/Tamil Nadu. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India/Tamil Nadu.

9. Amendments

  • Changes to Terms: Sankeerthanaa School of Music reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to enrolled students and will take effect immediately upon posting.
